Period. Visited Walmart and Target - uggh. Went to the bike shop. They had quite a few brands. My requirements are straight forward. I want to go on and on r.station me home from time to time to run errands, all within a 5 mile radius. I also stated that although in the end, I'll ride on the pavement, but initially, and a lot of time in the future, depending on traffic, I'll ride on the sidewalks. In addition, my expectations were that I was not a professional biker and rode bikes with thin tires, which made me uncomfortable, as they fly forward, and balancing them with a little more complicated. Shop offered me many of them to try. diamondback bikes should have been better and the price factor was generally smooth ride.
